Pisco is an alcoholic beverage made from grapes that is produced in Peru since the 16th century. Born in the city of Pisco in the department of Ica, there are records of shipments from the port of Pisco to different cities in the world such as Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom, Guatemala, Panama, Chile, and also to the United States of North America since the 19th century. Pisco Sour, considered the most traditional cocktail prepared with pisco, was first made in 1920, in the “Morris Bar” of the historic Jiron (street) de la Unión de Lima.
