  1. Day 1 Lima to Amazon Jungle

    The Amazon jungle awaits this morning. Fly to remote Puerto Maldonado and transfer onward by motorized canoe to the exclusive lodge in the heart of the forest. Explore the dense jungle around the lodge in the company of an expert local guide and enjoy the abundant wildlife. The vast area is renowned for its diverse plant and animal populations, including over 1,300 bird species and 200 mammal species.

  2. Day 2 Amazon Jungle

    Today you will have a fascinating experience and educational full day in the jungle. Go for a trek either early morning or during the evening and learn all about the fauna and flora of this place. Explore the area and keep your eyes peeled for black caiman and giant river otters.  You will also learn traditional techniques in the use of the plant life to cure a whole host of medical problems.

  3. Day 3 Amazon Jungle to Cusco Sacred Valley

    Transfer back to Puerto Maldonado and fly to Cusco, high in the Andes mountains. Met upon arrival and transfer to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, renowned for its dramatic scenery and impressive Inca fortress. On route stop at Awanacancha a center where South American camelids, such as llamas and alpacas, are bred. Learn about the valuable fibers created from their coats, and feed these iconic animals. Continue and check in to your relaxing accommodations.

  4. Day 4 Sacred Valley

    Today discover the town and fortress of the remarkable Ollantaytambo, a formidable structure of massive stone terraces that hug the mountain slopes and the site of the Incas’ greatest victory over the invading Spanish. Next, journey deep into the Andes to visit a native indigenous community on a full day tour. Experience into the ancient agricultural methods they have used for centuries to support themselves in this challenging Andean mountain environment.

  5. Day 5 Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu

    Board the Vistadome train bound for Machu Picchu Pueblo or Aguas Calientes town and continue by bus to the citadel of Machu Picchu to explore the magical ruins of the ‘Lost City of the Incas’. Explore the city’s ruins, and feel its pulse as you visualize the lives of the priests, craftsmen and servants who inhabited this remote citadel. Overlooking the raging Urubamba River and discovered in a hidden tangle of vines and trees, the city of Machu Picchu will forever hold the secret of its purpose, the Incas left no written records about it.

  6. Day 6 Machu Picchu to Cusco

    This morning you will be at your leisure, you can rise early for a walk through the misty ruins of the citadel at sunrise, or choose between two hikes with your local guide: the Inti Punku or Sun Gate, entry point to Machu Picchu on the Inca Trail; or the Wayna Picchu*, a high peak affording excellent views of the ruins. In the afternoon, return to Cusco by train and road.

  7. Day 7 Cusco

    See the highlights of Cusco with a guided tour including historic sites such as the temple of Qoricancha, a popular local market, the pretty neighbourhood of San Blas and the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, an enduring testament to Incan architectural skills, and the subterranean chamber of sacrifices of Q´enqo. Examine its colossal stone blocks, cut and fitted together with incredible precision and without a single drop of mortar to hold them in place.

SELVA AMAZONICA.

 

Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica.- This hotel is located in the Amazon jungle and offers jungle tours, a spa with massage service and views of the Madre de Dios forest, rooms with hammocks and balconies. The rate includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. The cabins at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica feature a high thatched roof, canopy beds, wooden furniture in soft tones, red tiled floors, a seating area and a private bathroom with ecological toiletries. In the outdoor areas, a full buffet breakfast with tropical fruits and views of the lush tropical forest is offered. There is also daily tea service. The restaurant serves candlelight dinners. The hotel is 45 minutes by boat from Puerto Maldonado.


Corto Maltes Lodge.-  The Lodge is located in Puerto Maldonado, in the Madre de Dios region, and offers beautiful bungalows equipped with a wardrobe, private bathroom with free toiletries and a terrace overlooking the garden. Guests of Corto Maltes Amazonia can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner for free. Corto Maltes Amazonia has a restaurant bar, an outdoor swimming pool, a shared TV room, large gardens and a 24-hour reception. The establishment is located about 45 minutes from the airport.


VALLE SAGRADO:

Tambo del Inka.- This luxury establishment located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, is the only hotel in Urubamba that has a private train station with connections to Machu Picchu. The establishment has a swimming pool and spa. The rooms are elegant and feature regional fabrics and a typical local design. All have a private balcony with views of the natural environment, LCD TV, exclusive marble bathroom. A buffet breakfast is offered daily.


Casona de Yucay.- This hotel occupies an 18th-century building located in the magical Sacred Valley. It offers cozy and modern rooms distributed around a colorful patio. The rooms of the hotel are decorated with traditional Inca fabrics, have natural wood floors and large windows with panoramic views of the garden and the mountains. The restaurant serves buffet breakfast and dinner with regional and international dishes. Next to the bar of La Casona there is a common fireplace, ideal to get together and chat with the other guests. It has wireless internet connection.

 


MACHU PICCHU:

Inkaterra Machupicchu Pueblo hotel.- It offers spacious rooms with tiled floors and a seating area, as well as massage sessions. The price of accommodation includes buffet breakfast and dinner à la carte. Inkaterra’s rooms are elegantly decorated with Andean tapestries and include cotton bedding, alpaca blankets and four-poster beds. Some rooms also have Wi-Fi connection, fireplace, marble sink or private pool. The restaurant overlooks Vilcanota River and serves Andean cuisine. The staff of Inkaterra Machu Picchu organizes walking tours in the surroundings. The hotel facilities include a lounge with a library and a gift shop.


Terraza de Luna.- The hotel is 400 meters from the thermal baths of Machu Picchu, offers bar service, terrace and views of the city. The accommodation has a restaurant, 24-hour reception, room service and free Wi-Fi. It features a tourist information desk, luggage storage and a currency exchange service. All hotel rooms are equipped with a flat-screen satellite TV, kitchen and dining area. The rooms are equipped with wardrobe and private bathroom. A buffet breakfast is served every morning.


Tierra Viva MachuPicchu.- The hotel features stunning views of the surrounding hills. It is a 5-minute walk from the bus station and has comfortable and quiet rooms with air conditioning. It offers a panoramic solarium and free Wi-Fi access throughout. The rooms are very quiet and equipped with private cable TV, minibar and private bathroom with shower. Some offer views of the hills. Cusco train station is a 10-minute walk away.


CUSCO:

 

JW Marriott Convent.- This hotel features stunning interior decoration with exposed antique bricks, vaulted ceilings and stylish designer furniture. Cusco Cathedral and the main square are just 2 streets away. The JW Marriott Convent houses a beautiful colonial-style patio with sculpted stone arch, a massage room and gift shop. The elegant rooms feature parquet floors, upholstered chairs and dark wood accessories, there are also rooms with oxygen supplement system. JW Marriot’s 2 restaurants serve Peruvian and international dishes in an elegant atmosphere.


Xima Hotel.- Xima Cusco Hotel is right in front of the largest craft market in the city. It offers modern rooms with buffet breakfast included. All rooms are equipped with a flat-screen LCD cable TV. Some have a balcony. There is also free wired internet connection in all facilities. In addition, it has a spa where special treatments and relaxing massages are offered in a unique environment, using special elements and techniques of the Inca culture that revitalize the body, mind and spirit. The spa also has a sauna, hot tub and special oxygen room.

To fully enjoy this tour, you should take insect repellent, long pants and long-sleeved shirts, preferably made of cotton because the weather is very hot and wet, sunhat, sunscreen, raincoat, a flashlight.

Although in Peru it is not mandatory, we strongly suggest getting a yellow fever vaccine at least 10 days before the trip to the jungle and taking malaria pills.
