    Hike through Pisac Ruins and visit Pisaq Market. An ideal place to visit the Sacred Valley is the archaeological complex of Pisaq, located 33 km from Cusco, the views from here are also impressive. Outdoor adventure lovers enjoy a 2- hour walk, knowing one of the few preserved places of pre-Hispanic times today called ”Pisaq Ruins”. Your expert guide will indicate which of the Inca trails to follow to better appreciate the most important places such as: the Qantus Raqay neighborhood, the Pisaqa district, the Temples sector, the Intiwatana, the Inca cemetery, the Surveillance posts, the large cultivation terraces, among others.

    After walking for approximately 2 hours in descent, you will arrive at the current colonial town of Pisaq. Here in the main square every day a craft market is exhibited, there are innumerable shops along the way that offer their products or souvenirs from your visit to Peru. This craft market was born more than 30 years ago and today is carried out daily. In those times the first visiting tourists toured the archaeological site of Pisaq, and walking from the top of the mountain to the main square of the town of Pisaq, they came across the surprise ”only on Sundays” of a colourful indigenous market with a wide variety of edible products. The tourists were happy to see that the indigenous tradition was alive with its barter trade that continues to this day.

Naturally, the artisan market exhibits every day, including Sundays. However, both indigenous and artisan markets can only be seen on Sundays.

We recommend having previous experience in walks, usually we take children from 8 years of age.
