We will pass by many small native farming towns, always surrounded by beautiful mountains. Travel Time Cusco – Huallatakunka Colors Mountain – Palccoyo: 3 and ½ hours.

During the trip you will see a variety of typical animals of the high Andean area such as: llamas, alpacas, deer, vicuñas, guanacos and also goats and lambs belonging to the indigenous communities that live in the area. Some are very lucky to see the condor flying over.

Once you reach the vehicle parking area, we will start a 30-minute walk to the same Mountain of Colours located in the Rainbow Mountain Range. These mountains are a marvel of nature at 4,800 meters above sea level (same height as the car park). On clear days you can see the highest mountain in Cusco, the snowy ”Ausangate” with its 6,380 meters above sea level.

There is a small mountain that is on the way to the Mountain of Colors, which locals call ”The Castles”. It has a beautiful natural decoration that resembles a crown, with stone tips that protrude towards the sky. After the journey of walking through this area enjoying the landscape, some of our clients climb up to the mountain ”Los Castillos” located 100

meters higher than the mountain of colors. A challenge for those who want to experience a walk at these heights!
